Visa launches women's ski jumping commercial

PARK CITY, Utah - Visa launched its first Olympic advertising spot during the NFL playoffs this past weekend (see below). It features U.S. Olympic women’s ski jumping hopeful and Team Visa athlete, Sarah Hendrickson. The commercial - called Flying - shows Sarah as she soars through the air and we learn her Everywhere is to fly. The spot already has garnered hundreds of thousands of YouTube views, plus countless more through television.

Visa has supported the U.S. Women’s Ski Jumping Team since its beginnings in 2004 and will continue to do so as the sport makes its Olympic debut in Sochi. The official name of the national team is the Visa Women's Ski Jumping Team.

"This is a true honor," said Hendrickson. "Visa has been in my ski jumping life and with our team since nearly Day 1 and I wouldn't be where I am today without them."

Visa's support of Women's Ski Jumping USA runs deep. Long before most took notice, Visa sponsored the women's program and believed in the team's heart and determination in its goal to gain Olympic inclusion.

Visa helped fuel the National Sports Foundation, a program that fostered the development and talents of today's top athletes such as Jessica Jerome, Lindsey Van, Sarah Hendrickson, Abby Hughes and  Alissa Johnson.

As a longtime partner and the exclusive payment services sponsor of the Games, Visa hopes to inspire others to imagine their own Everywhere.
