Visa Team makes cover of NY Times Magazine

PARK CITY, Utah — The Visa Women’s Ski Jumping Team is the cover story of the Nov. 24 edition of New York Times Magazine.

The story, titled “Who Said Girls Can’t Jump?”, takes an in-depth and raw look at the decade-long struggle to get a women’s ski jumping event into the Olympic Winter Games by focusing on the U.S. team’s fight to get there and to win.

Visa Team members featured include Sarah Hendrickson, Lindsey Van, Jessica Jerome, Abby Hughes and Alissa Johnson.

Renowned Montreal writer Mireille Silcoff and award-winning photographer Martin Schoeller produced the comprehensive package, following the team off and on for eight months.

The print edition of the magazine is available today and the online version can be seen at http://www.nytimes.com/2013/11/24/magazine/who-said-girls-cant-jump.html?ref=magazine&_r=0
